As a wonderful Easter closed, it gave way to an exciting April. We invite you to spend time with us, at Sunday worship and participating in the many missions and activities we support.
April - At some time soon, Exodus World Services will pair us with a refugee family who will receive the "Welcome to America!" pack we have accumulated. Thank you for your generosity. April 4th 
held a "meet and greet" with refugee families who were forced to flee their home country and come here. 
It was truly heartwarming to hear their stories, and see the difference our generousity makes in their lives. After we are paired with a family, we will take all that we purchased to their apartment, and it will be awaiting them when they arrive.
April 7 - Ivanhoe Congregational Church will be hosting a Spring all-church, intergenerational Vacation Bible School We will meet on five consecutive Sundays, continuing thru Sunday, May 5th. Our sessions will begin after Worship at 11:30 am, and will end at 1:00 pm. Lunch will be provided at all our gatherings.
April 21 - Celebrate Earth Day Sunday!
April 24 - 7:00 pm - Common Ground is a new film about how regenerating the world’s soils has the potential to rapidly stabilize Earth’s climate, restore lost ecosystems, and create abun-dant food supplies.
We are excited to be hosting an in-person screening of this powerful film in our Fellowship Hall. Sign up here or at the coffee bar to attend. Join us for a discussion afterward about how our faith informs our response to food practices that support food justice and healthy soil in our community.
Ivanhoe Game Night - Thank you to everyone who came to our first Ivanhoe
Game Night. Our Sunday School children had such a great time playing board games with all the grown-ups, that all of them have asked, “When are we going to have another Game Night? That was so much fun!” The "older kids" (adults), it seemed, had at least as much fun as the kids, revisiting such games as "Ker-Plunk", and other favorites. It proved so popular that it will be repeated at a soon to be announced date. Come join us!
Ushers, Greeters, and Coffee Hour Hosts - Everybody is welcome at Ivanhoe Congregational Church, not only to worship, but to be one of the friendly faces welcoming everybody to our joyous Sunday celebrations. It is a wonderful way to spread the love we all share. A sign up sheet will be passed occasionally on which you can sign up for future Sundays to greet, or prepare treats to share during Coffee Hour. Reminders will be sent the week prior to your volunteered date, so you needn't worry about remembering. Join us!
